Many of us already know that our upbringing and cultural background can have a big impact on the way we work and our expectations of our workplace. Even with that knowledge many of us still struggle to work as well as we could on global and multicultural teams. Using Sino Associates own Cultural Style Indicator and best practices around adapting to cultural diversity can be the difference between being simply knowledgeable and being effective and skillful across cultures.
The Cultural Style Indicator is based on extensive research into the cultural style differences found around the world and their impact in three areas:
How we socialize and build bonds of trust with others
How we make decisions and manage risk
How we approach thinking and expressing that thinking
Participants in this session will take the CSI Assessment to identify their own style preferences and to be able to compare them to data from other countries. In this workshop we will explain what these style preferences mean and how they impact our working teams.

Beyond building awareness though we will explore how to begin to adapt to diverse cultures in meaningful and effective ways as well as overcome the most typical barriers to adapting our styles. By the end of the workshop participants will be better able to identify when cultural differences are impacting their work, understand them and map out what differences are affecting teamwork, and effectively bridge differences to create meaningful and sustainable improvements.
